Colossians 1:15–23
“He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible… all things were created by Him and for Him… and in Him all things hold together.”
(vv.15–17)
🛡️ Devotional
There is no higher throne. No greater name. No rival in heaven, on earth, or beneath.
The Christ—Jesus, Son of the Living God—stands above all.
He is no mere teacher. No simple martyr.
He is the image of the invisible God, the origin of all that exists, the anchor of creation itself.
All things—from the fire in the stars to the breath in your lungs—were forged by Him, for Him.
And still, this King stepped into our battlefield, bore our shame, and made peace through His blood.
This is no passive deity.
This is the Commander of the cosmos—who made Himself our sacrifice and Savior.
He does not merely reign. He reconciles.
He has brought you, once an enemy, into the ranks of His redeemed.
So stand. Unshaken. Grounded in faith.
For your allegiance is to the One who holds all things together.
⚔️ Call to Action
- Remember: Your King is not shaken by the chaos of this world.
- Remain: Firm in the faith. Steadfast in hope.
- Reflect: If Christ is supreme, let no lesser loyalty take His place.
Let your life declare His rule. Let your steps mirror His will.
For a warrior of Christ bows only to One—and His name is above every name.
🙏 Warrior’s Prayer
Lord Jesus,
You are the image of the invisible God,
the Firstborn over all creation,
the One by whom and for whom all things were made.
Strengthen me to stand under Your supreme authority.
Keep me from drifting into doubt or compromise.
Help me walk worthy of the One who reconciled me by His blood.
Let my life reflect Your rule.
Let my fight be in faith.
And let my allegiance be to You alone, the Commander of all creation.
In Your powerful Name—Amen.
