Reign Forever

The Humble Rise

Matthew 23:12

Devotional

True warriors know that strength without humility is not strength at all—it is a weapon turned inward.
The world shouts, boasts, and grasps for glory. But the warrior of Christ walks differently.

He does not parade his victories, nor does he draw attention to his scars.
He serves with grace, leads with love, and walks with quiet confidence, knowing that heaven watches what men ignore.

Pride builds brittle kingdoms.
But humility lays the foundation for eternal reward.

The exalted will be brought low,
but the low—those who bow their will, surrender their pride, and live for the Christ—will be lifted up.

You are not called to prove your worth.
You are called to reflect His.

Prayer

Lord Jesus,
Teach me to be strong and humble.
Let my hands be calloused from service,
not from grasping for glory.
Let every victory point to Your name, not mine.
Strip away the pride that clouds my mission.
Exalt me only when it brings You glory.
Make me a warrior who kneels first—
and rises only at Your command.

Amen.
